Davide Di Guida & Marco Rizzato

Both born in Milan, the first in 1974 and the latter in 1975. They met each other in far 1981 and it was immediate friendship. They immediately understood that their common passions were mountains, voyages, exploring, excursions and knowing foreign states and cultures. Driven by their enthusiasm and following the tv show “Jonathan Dimensione Avventura” lead by Ambrogio Fogar (to whom they dedicate their trips), they decided to have their first adventure on the mountains near Lecco on the Southern Mount Grigna, 2184 o.s.l. when they are only 12 and 13 years old. From that day they made several climbings and walks on the Alps and Prealps.

They started practicing mountaineering and some other sports at the same time to keep themselves healthy. After some adventures in 1991 they decided to cross the Stelvio National Park in a week and ended up the crossing in 4 days only. Soon afterwards they decided to cross the Alps, starting from Valle d’Aosta up to Friuli Venezia Giulia. Unfortunately they had to give up because of Davide’s departure for the military service (Alpines) and then, the following year , Marco’s departure too (riflemen).

During the following years the style of their trips began to change. They both start to love other languages and, separately but always being in touch with each other, the two friends travelled around Europe and Latin America. Davide first travelled to America; firstly in Venezuela and then in Perù, where he then lived for some years. At the same time Marco travelled around several States in Europe and in the United States. In 2003 Davide convinced his friend to travel in South America with him towards the Argentine Andes. Therefore they prepared a trip with no destination as they had done when they were children. They started this trip in 2004 but after 18 days Davide had to fly back to Italy due to family problems and give this trip up. Marco then decided to go on alone and he started to travel around Uruguay, Paraguay, Cile and Argentina, where he lived for a year and a half.

This two friends have been travelling around the world for 20 years taking photos of the most unknown and not advertised places to allow to those people who cannot travel due to economical difficulties, disabilities etc to visit those places with their fantasy by browsing their images.

Their force can be found in this thirty-years-old friendship from where they find the energies to make their trips, take photos, make their excursions and explorations.

Their trips can be divided in two categories: The first one consists in simply and normally travelling around small cities using buses, bicycles, or going on foot trying to gather as much information as they can about that city, taking pictures of places and districts which a simple tourist does not usually visit.

The second, the hardest, which make them start this activity deals with extreme adventures such as explorations or mountain and wild lands crossing always gathering as much information as they can about that unexplored place.
